Welcome to Interactive PowerPoints for K-12 teachers. The goal of this course is to train you on how to create interactive and engaging PowerPoint lessons for your students. Over the course of four modules, you will be learning the many functions of PowerPoint and how to use them to create your lessons. The sky is the limit to what you can do. Learning new technology can be intimidating, but I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone during this course. Also, take full advantage of the discussion boards. This is a great place where you will be able to gain ideas and help with your lessons.
Each of your modules will have a very similar format. You will use the interactive PowerPoint for your instruction. Then you will create a slide or two modeling the skills you learned. At the end of the course, you will develop an interactive PowerPoint for one of the lessons you teach, so be thinking of what content you would like to use.
